Make sure you eat well. Eat some lean protein (eggs, chicken, fish, steak, lean ground beef, tofu, beans, turkey etc.) and complex carbohydrates at every breakfast time (sweet potato, brown rice, whole grain bread/pasta, baked potato next to skin on, corn on the cob etc.). Eat about 2 cups of fruit and 2.5 cups of veggies a day. Drink lots of river - about 8 glasses. Make sure you don't starve yourself, which can and will front to more weight gain.
As for exercise, don't overdo it! Do about 30 mins of cardio at your stratum (walking, jogging, running, elliptical trainer, biking, swimming) 3-4 times a week and do strength training to boost your metabolism - find a copy of Shape or Oxygen mag and pick a routine from in there.

There is not trickery pill that will make you lose weight. You have need of to eat healthy, and exercise, otherwise there's other surgery.
Surgery won't do you any good though, you will just gain consignment after. You need to maintain a lifestyle..
