I can tell you that the thyroid is very prominent to regulating your body and if it truly is swollen then that could mean in that is something off in your body. You should dance to the doctor and have him check it out. It could be absolutely zilch. Or, it could be malfunctioning and you could need medication. either path, you can't be diagnosed over the internet.

Make sure its your thyroid and not something else...It could just be lymphnodes on your neck. Have a doctor check to clear sure its not swollen. My doctor said mine looked larger on one side, but it turned out to be normal.
