Treatment for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome??

I have recently be diagnosed with PCOS. I had the mirena coil fitted 18 months ago up to that time i was diagnosed. I am not overweight but have be having problems with my period since i was 9. i have only just been getting a lot of distress in my lower adomen but the gynae's have said that it is lately from my ovaries and the condition. Does PCOS cause pain? If so what is the treatment. I know an elder woman with the condition who has be treated with fertility treatment...but at 18 i dont want that as an option. Are in that any other ways to treat it besides with fertility treatment

What the poo is it!should I be worried?

yes, PCOS can cause strain because it basically means here are cysts on your ovaries. the only treatment that I know is birth control pills. I am on those right now and they work close to a charm. I never had regular cycles until now. You should parley to your doctor about it.

Does inserting a tampon hurt and how do u do it?

One thing that I know occur during PCOS is elevated insulin levels so you'd be treated with a medication such as Glucophage (metformin). Amazingly, this decrease the other symptoms.
