I am a 27 year old female and I be doing a self breast exam, as my doctor told me to do. I noticed a lump under my armpit, perchance a little smaller than a marble. Is the armpit area considered factor of the breast? I know you're supposed to check under your armpits when doing breast exams. Has anyone else had this and what should I do? I am worried since my protective aunt had breast cancer at 44. I will call my doctor and enjoy it checked out. Should I call my obgyn or my primary care physician?

Answers:    It's great that you do self-examinations and are conscious of your home history--that's often the first step in catching cancer hasty.

That lump can be a simple cyst--since it's Summer, sometimes oil/hair collects in that area and cause a lump. Go see either doctor to get it checked out..

i am so pls you are getting it check out soon ,,, see your primary care doctor first ,, then he will refer you on , if needed to ,, apt luck there are lymph nodes in your armpit possibly that is whats wrong but you should still see a dr.
