so i've been on yaz for a year. i took really well to it and never have any problems until a few weeks ago. i've had light spotting to a sometimes filling period for 2 weeks now (it completely vary, sometimes starts light and goes lashing, sometimes it stays light and sometimes it's nothing)! i've even gone off the yaz for olden times few days to see if it would stop and it hasn't! i think it's a bit late for breakthrough bleeding isn't it? what the heck could the foundation be? thanks for any help :-)

I infer you should contact your OBGYN dr. I am on the Depo shot and if it is not taken on time it causes your body to own unexpected periods and you never know how long it will be. It is a cramp in the butt! Good luck!

You're right, to have breakthrough bleeding a year after you've be on something is bizarre. Have you missed any pills and not made up for them? Have you missed more than 2 pills in a month? Are you starting them on the same year of your cycle each time? A small variation one route or the other can mess up the cycle a little bit and cause the breakthrough bleeding.
