My period are never regular ???

Every time i start my period, it lasts for a exceptionally long time 3 months...yes i know too long :[ and i lose way to much blood and i went to the doctors she took blood from me and said i enjoy very little blood in my body because of losing bearing to much...so they prescribed me iron pills...is it alright to drink these? or will it affect anything? please help ??

Answers:    Hi Anna, yes it is important to run these iron pills, the only side effect usually is constipation so they say, but have said that, when I was on them they made me the other way! which suited me down to the ground. So you do nouns like your anaemic after all the blood loss, thats why its exalted to take these tablets. You could always speed things up by have an iron rich diet too, i.e. red meat, green vegetables. Also its not normal to bleed for so long so I hope the doctor is going to investigate this for you.
prescribing you iron pills will assist in your blood loss but I would be only as concerned about why your periods are durable about 3 months. My sister has a condition that cause the same thing. She can stir up to a year without a period and consequently has one that lasts for months. It is call PCOS I would advise you to find out why you are having these types of period. it sound like u r aneimic and iron is the right piece to take. u will be fine. listen to ur doc, iron is good for u..
its fyne ;)
