I just turned 20 a few days ago and it's my first appointment (I know I should have gone nearer, but it's taken me this long to work up the courage, so please don't berate me). I'm going because I think I might have endometreosis that's spreading to my intestines and affecting my bowel movements and I want to be put on Lybrel.

I'm really afraid and I don't know what to expect and I'm going alone. Also, I enjoy a feeling I am going to start my period the afternoon I go, but I don't really have the picking to reschedule and I'm not sure what to do.

Answers:    Ok where to start? . .If you think you may own your period the day of your appointment phone your doctor to see if thats ok and if there is anything you could do. (I called a few times to say aloud that i may b on my period. I was told to still come contained by that its fine.)

I have been seeing the ob/gyn since i be 14. It gets easier every time. In the mean time only relax. Let the docotr know how your feeling. But just a lil tip, if you relax durring the exam its not as uncomfy. hope this help.

First... pause and take a philosophical breath. There is nothing to fear. I hold been having a pap since I be 14 (irregular period so I was put on b/c). I be scared at first too. But there is nil to fear, gyno's are very professional within my experience and will do everything possible to make you comfortable. Express your fear to your doctor so s/he know that you are uncomfortable and may need them to purloin it slow.
