Long term. why is that?

Okay, so usually my period was 4 days at the most.
This month I started my first pack of birth control pills (cyclessa) and from some source my period had be going on for like 8 days. today is the 9th day, and it seem so far that that's it but It weird. I've never had a length go for so long.

I must say though that former times four days was very terribly little discharge. I mean, I didn't even use a pad or a tampon, I merely put one of those thin daily pad and it was more than enough, because it be sooooo lite, it didn't need more than that. but still. so long?! is this because of the pill? is this not the right pill for me? what's wrong?

if you're really concerned, go to your physician and report to him what's going on. but it could just be that your body is just getting used to the pill. the pill is supposed to roughly put a hold on your period & make it stop. but if you hold any hormone in your body that is going to adjectives of a sudden change what your body is naturally accustomed to, your body may freak out, until it can attain used to the changes. if i were you, i'd loaf it out a little bit longer.
