IUD.........
Has anyone tried both, which one did/do you similar to better?
Answers: I am on the depo shot , i get an injection every 3 months from my doctor, i have be on the shot for over 5 years, and i ve never had a period since the shot started. i go for my yearly exam, and i asked to be given the IUD rods, put after taking, i do not like have to come in for a shot every 3 months, but i like the freedom of no menstrual. the IUD will exact me to regulate , and bleed every month, so with the depo, and no side effects, i like no term at all. this is going on my 6th year, and still no problems.
IUD are removable, and having a babe-in-arms soon after is normal.
Depo- prevara usually takes up to a year after the end shot. I'm only 23, so the shot fits my life
ive never tried the "pill", theres a moment ago something about an every day things. i can not honestly expect myself to like time all the time, my life does not run on routine, so my meds cant any.
figure what best for your life routine.
IUD last up to 5 years, with no pill, or doc's visit.
but your length or spotting remains.. not with the depo
good luck.
I have the IUD for 6 years as soon as my 1st one expired i got a new one. My 1st Mirena be smooth sailing only side effect was no length. With my 2nd IUD I had it for 10 months had 30++++ substance gain, back pain, nausea, headache and acne. Since my 1st Mirena was smooth sailing my assumption was those symptoms could not be related to the IUD. I granted to give it a try and removed it 6/19 and went to the pill 3 weeks subsequently all my symptoms are gone and I have lost 10 pounds beside no diet or exercises change.
I was previously on the pill 2 years previously I had the IUD inserted. I loved it! However I was infantile and very forget full. Now I'm on my 2nd pack of pills and am LOVING it I had a moment or two nausea but I switched to taking it at night time and the problem has resolved. You may want to offer that a try and if not then christen your Doctor and see if they can switch your pills.
With Mirena they will only give t to you if you are within a serious long term relationship only because next to multiple partners your chance of infection is soaring and treatment of a infection with an IUD in place is knotty.
It is also recommended you have at least one child simply because your uterus will be larger decreasing destiny of perforation.
best of luck!.
I personally don't want something inserted into me. However, I feel it is zilch but another form of birthcontrol. And as a case worker to teen parents, I endorse it only just like I do any other form of birth control. i have an iud, hold tried pill and other hormone type contraceptives, but they make me put weight on, i approaching the iud, it works for me. .
I have had my IUD since May of 05, and love it. It be painless going in and I have never have a problem and just a little spotting. I would importantly recommend it!
