Is it true that you shouldn't wear tampons until you've have your term for a year?

so, I'm 15, and NOT about to put my life on hold becuase of my time of year.

okay, didn't mean to go adjectives tampax commercial on you, but I got my period once surrounded by decomber 07, then april 08, then I get it this month and I was swimming alot beofre I got it so I tried tampons so I didn't enjoy to give up my summer. they worked fine, a little bit of discharge, so I just wore a liner, and it was adjectives good. but anyways I am a virgin, but they worked I guess I have be horse back riding all my natural life so I guess that broke the skin or what ever.

anyways, I told my firend and she was omg your not suppossed to do that until youve had it for a year!! and im thinking, why?

what could develop? should I be using them? I have only have my period three times, like every three months.

Answers:    No, your friend is a short time ago repeating some old wives tale. If you're mature enough to menstruate, you're old ample to use a tampon. Just don't use a tampon when you don't need it. And your hymen may not be broken--tampons usually have no effect on your hymen because tampons are duly small and most hymens have holes in them..
i lone used liners for about 3/5 months
and next once it started a little more regularly i used tampons

I'm a horse rider too ;) my horse is prone to playing up and making things rather mortified and i broke my "cherrie" at about 13..

so it shouldnt be too much of a problem... i've not had any problems at adjectives ;).
no, you can use tampons when you feel comfortable with the conception of your period. i used pads for a while, but after i have my period for 8 months, i started using tampons. do what feels right! don't turn to your looney friends, homily to your mom or an older sister for actual advice. uh, no. I have a dance recital the first time I get my period so I used a tampon and everything worked fine. I've been using them ever since.

Then I hear this rumor so I got it checked out by a doctor. She said it was totally fine..
That's totally untrue. I used tampons the second or third time I have my period. As long as you know what you're doing you'll be fine. And having an irregular interval when you just started is normal as ably. It shouldn't really matter. When I first had my length, after the first two months I started wearing tampons just because it was cleaner. As long as you transform your tampon out every couple hours you should be fine..
No. There is no reason to wait to wear tampons. Nothing will surface. You should use them if you want to. They tend to be cleaner. no you dont have to wait..i used tampon resembling 3 weeks after my verry first period so dont worry merely use them.. you can wear them in the pool there really right for sports..=).
i dont think it really matters when you wear them, but if i be you i WOULDNT wear them.
they can KILL you.

:).
No go ahead!! They are much cleaner and easier to use. Its ok, but sometimes if there isnt adequate blood then it can be really painful to clutch it out. Thats the only reason why. Sometimes you hang about for the tampon to fill up with blood so it newly slips out, but that can cause you to get Toxic Shock Syndrome, here is for a while bit about it http://kidshealth.org/parent/infections/...
If you have no aching when your taking out the tampon then your perfectly fine, merely that many girls freak when they think of a tampon, so they dont even try.
