I am an egg donor & enjoy stopped the bcp this second tuesday and own be on Lupron for 7 days, I lately started?

my period. I cannot get ahold of the nurse, is this mundane? I am supposed to start the FSH shots tomorrow and slightly decrease the lupron. Please, is this what is supposed to happen? I thought I be not going to have any more periods until this be over, perhaps I was mistaken?

Answers:    Yes, you are supposed to hold your period. It's just that you won't hold a NATURAL period or cycle until you're all done beside the process. That is, you took BCPs, which prevented a cycle and have kept your ovarian function suppressed. Then, you started on the Lupron, which completely stopped any ovarian stimulation. This means that your level of progesterone have dropped sharply, which always cause your uterine lining to slough off--in other words, you get what you would hail as a period, and what the docs would call a progesterone renunciation bleed. Soon, you'll be ready to start the ovarian stimulation and you'll make lots of fertile eggs...
