Answers:    You are no where close. For Gastric bypass you must be at least 100lbs overweight near a BMI of at least 40. For the lapband, I believe you must be at least 80lbs overweight.

You don't purely walk in and ask for the surgery. . Not everyone who is overweight is an great candidate for the surgery. You must see a surgeon, a nutritionist, sometimes a psychologist. You must be able to show tht you hold tried unsuccessfully to lose the weight for a long time (we're talking years) The diet is not the most fun contained by the world either. Imgaine eating 1/2 to 1 cup of food per feast, 800 calories a day FOR LIFE. Imagine losing 150lbs through surgery and gaining it adjectives back because you can't control your eating. It is not a cure-all.

I have Gastric Bypass surgery in Oct 2007. To date I have lost 120 pounds. I am 40 pounds from my dream weight. It hasn't always be fun and it certainly hasn't been confident. I have not had any complications. The release rate from the surgery is at an all time low. I don't understand why relatives have to make it out liek the surgery is a deathtrap!.
It sounds close to you need to go to your doctor. If you're inexplicably acquirement weight, it could be a symptom of a pretty serious health problem that requests to be regulated and dealt with. You're not even technically overweight.
