Can the Pill be detrimental?
Where do they return with these hormones from and do some have better quality hormones than others? Would I hold to buy the really good ones off the NHS?
Why do they pass the risk of blood clots and other things? What about how they affect your reproductive organs?
If Dr Frank or another Dr could answer I would be grateful.
Is it better for your body to not use those things?
I did go on it when I be about 18 for two months, when I went to the doctor for the morning after pill, and they give them to me like sweets, but it wasn't really explained to me about what the long possession effects are.
Answers: All risks are relative, the risk of a VTE (Venous thromboembolism) in a non pregnant woman is 5/100,000/year. The pill increases this to 25/100,000/year, however pregnancy increases it to 60/100,000/year. Numerous epidemiological studies have be reported on the risks of ovarian, endometrial, cervical and breast cancer in women using combined oral contraceptives. The evidence is clear that combined oral contraceptives offer substantial protection against both ovarian and endometrial cancer. An increased risk of cervical cancer surrounded by long-term users of combined oral contraceptives has been reported within some studies, but there continues to be controversy over this. there is a small increase surrounded by the risk of breast cancer in women who use the pill, which increases with the age that the pill is taken.
Levonelle the progesterone individual morning after pill has few significant side effects either long or short residence..
I know it's got side affects, like reducing the occasion of conception ^_^ , and sometimes making you feel sick among other things but Doctors do actually proscribe it for medical conditions similar to anemia.
Not sure what the long term affects would be but most things have long permanent status affects if used excessively which is probably why you have to come off it every so normally (not sure of the frequency) and have your period.
Best article to do would be to talk to your doctor about it...they'll explain it adjectives to you if they're any good..
i am on the pill and have be for years in some people it can cause you put weight on and in other it make you lose weight i have lost freight with mine every time i got to bring back a few more months supply i get my blood pressure looked at to this day i hold never had a problem with my pill They enjoy a bad affect on sperm..
honestly, YES.
the blood clots are caused by gooey blood, or in my case a Protein S deficency contained by my blood.
They can cause weight gain. But they also regulate your cycle.
I don't know just about the morning after pill. Never had a need to and by the time they come on the market, I was bygone child bearing age.
I just know in the order of the blood clots first hand. I was on the pill for 3 months. 2 months after stopping them, i nearly died.
after later found out about the protein defiecency. I suggest earlier starting any BCP, contact your doctor, and ask her/him to do the Protein test before starting you on the pill...
You requirement to find a doctor who will discuss these things and answer your questions. If he/she doesn't, find another doctor who will really take charge of you. As of a couple years ago there were no specified side effects to the Pill, no increased risk of breast cancer or anything, no decrease in fertility once you progress off the Pill, etc., but I don't know if any new research have come out since then. I also don't know where the hormones come from, but I am sure they are adjectives held to high standards. Different brands of pills have different mixtures and ratio of hormones, which is why it's important for your doctor to prescribe the one that is right for you. These are question you should discuss with your doctor.
