How long since postpartum stitches dissolve?

Just wondering... what is the time frame for vaginal stitches to dissolve? I know they can fall out or be absorbed surrounded by pieces over time, but when can you expect for it to start and by when should they be fully dissolved?

Answers:    It typically takes about 10-14 days to enjoy your stitches dissolve, but it's not unheard of for some of them to stick around for up to 3 weeks.

The worst of it is a slight odor (normal), some minor spotting, and finding little black "bits" on your TP when you wipe.

If you have any problems, discomfort, really offensive odor, or extreme twinge or heavy bleeding, see your OB/GYN as soon as you can..
i think its between 2 and 3 weeks although if here is a stitch thats in a awkward position you may have to step to your doctor and have it looked at.althought the scar can be sore for a while after..

goodluck
