Oh honey, I totally understand where on earth you're coming from. Don't be too sure that she's nowhere near getting her period even so. Many girls are getting theirs as young as 9 these days...so you never know. Just be instinctive about it, but if you're going to the bathroom together, explain to her that you may need rather more privacy because you've recently started getting yours and you're not comfortable sharing that with anyone. If you perceive you can manage it, there is probably no objection to you explaining to her what period are. Do not, however, be tempted to say anything unless she mentions it first. Don't say anything, only just leave it alone. If she notices, she might speak something or she might not. I don't think she will mind knowing that you have your time and she doesn't, she'll probably look up to you because you have experienced something she hasn't.
