A hickie is in fact a blood clot that is caused by sucking on the skin, hence the bluish/reddish color that you carry from them, the blood becomes trapped in that specific place. I dont believe that they are toxic though.rub it with a toothbrush
i know it sounds like it wouldnt work but it does. it hurts a short time but do it before you go to bed and contained by the morning it will be better. rub hard and yes it does hurt but it works

well its when there is pressure to asensitive cut for a long period of time and it breaks blood vessels cause a bruise..so really it's a bruise and they freak out because well it showed something went down..even if it of late was making out,,,They are a bad article in the public eye. Try to hide them if you hold them. No one likes to see them on friends, its weird.
