Cancel out your birth control?

Please don't think this is a stupid question. I freshly started taking one a day vitamin that says it is apt for a healthy reproductive system. I know that an antibiotic can cancel out your birth control but can a multivitamin?..

Answers:    The majority of antibiotics DO NOT interfere beside b/c pills. It is true that SOME very specific types of antibiotics MAY affect b/c, but those are not the regular antibiotics that you would be prescribed for normal things.

But that wasn't really your examine. As for vitamins. Of course they don't cancel out b/c pills! Vitamins are in (hopefully) everything that you munch through. They are naturally occuring substances that are healthy for you and hold absolutely NO effect on b/c pills..
Ordinarily, I wouldn't think a simple MVI would hurt, but I be surprised years ago when they discovered that antibiotics could make birth control pills ineffective. If it's advertised as "righteous for a healthy reproductive" system, there could be other additives. It's a right idea to call your local pharmacist (or GYN) and read them the enumerate of ingredients to be sure. Most pharmacists are very knowledgeable and glad to be of assistance.

Good luck, hope this help... somewhat! : ).
No. Multivitamins aren't infection fighting pills.
