I am not sure if it's life or whatever, but the pill seem to be making it all worse. Is this a common side effect?

Yes, and it should have told you on the box. No offense, but I'm tired of these question. All birth control is some form of hormone and hormones in women tend influence their moods. (Example: PMS XD) Sometimes, the hormones will make your moods more stable. In my baggage, I'm on Depo Provera, when I first get my shot for the first couple of months I'm mellow but when the medicine wheres rotten I get moody, sad, and ill.
