Birth Control. Help.

I'm 15 and I want to get on birth control. My boyfriend and I have have sex before with a condom but I purely want to be safer.

However, if I tell my mom she'll freak out over the fact that I'm have sex. I don't know what to do...

I see a therapist and she asked me last month if I be having sex and I said no because I wasn't and she said she can help me so i can stay protected when i do own sex. But, I'm scared and don't know what to do.

Can you please help me?

Answers:    Therapists and doctors are bound to something call the "Doctor-Patient Privilege". Legally, they cannot tell anyone anything you tell them, unless you contribute them permission to do so, or they think you're a menace to yourself or others.

If you tell your therapist or doctor that you are have sex, they cannot tell your mom without your go-ahead. Most doctors will even ask your mother to leave the room when you go within for check-ups.

Talk to your doctor, and if you are given birth control, just say that it's to regulate your period and hormones, lighten your periods, and to clear up acne.

therapist, im almost sure, are like doctors in the sense that they own a confidentiality agreement with the patient. so anything you transmit them, is between you and them. thats first. second, there is A LOT of emotion that comes beside sex, and at 15, are you sure your ready for all that? third, you also hhave to be all set to take the pill every single day. if u miss a light of day or two, you can get pregnant. and be sure to continue to use condoms, because birth control does not prevent stds. and at the moment, std's are A LOT more common among teens than you think! so dont be afraid to convey ur therapist, but make sure ur mom doesnt find ur pills! While I would recommend that you speak to your mother, I know how strong that can be. Your therapists is bound by doctor/patient confidentiality laws, however, and if she say she can help you than I would recommend talking to her.

I applaud you for wanting to be safer, and if your consultant is unable to help after you may want to pay a visit to your nearest planned paternity, or speak to your school nurse as some schools are helping their students access BC presently. .
You don't need to talk to your mother. I'm pretty sure you can receive birth control from a doctor or at a clinic even though you're underage and your mother won't find out.

If you can't get to a clinic liked Planned Parenthood (in the US) I recommend you ask the analyst about it. I'm sure she wouldn't be able to put in the picture your mother either due to confidentiality laws.

Harriet.
collaborate to your mum, i know you said she would freek out but she wont.
you don't have to tell her you hold already had sex. just that you want to and will she give a hand you get birth control or something so you stay safe.

i sit my mum down and told her i wanted to have sex beside my boyfriend and she was ok with it we get it sorted. i did not tell her i had already done it any.

if anything she will respect you more for telling her now, instead of the mum we own something to tell you conversation on. me and my mum are closer now than we own ever been, it may do the same for you.
It's best to gossip to a trusted adult here. If you're uncomfortable discussion to your mom, talk to your therapist. She won't run running to your mom telling her everything you said cause everything you speak to her is strictly confidential. Plus, she said she can help you so I don't see why not. Good luck hun :)<33 Well you could tell your mom that you entail birth control for your period. When i take birth control it regualtes my interval and helps with cramps and adjectives the other things that come with a period. Just report to her that and hopefully she will understand..
If you aren't ready to adopt the responsibility of either having a child or discussing birth control next to your mother, you aren't ready to be having sex. You can update her you want to get on birth control to help regulate your extent, clear up acne, control pms, etc.
