When you have a feeling ovulation backache how long does it pinch for the egg to manage the fallopian tubes?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they know this. I can other feel when I ovulate because I get a sharp distress, they say this is the egg being released...but how long from when you touch the pain does the egg take to acquire to the fallopian tubes, is it minutes or hours. So does it mean when you feel the dull pain you can only get pregnant when the egg get to the fallopian tube obviously providing sperm is waiting there all set.

Answers:    An egg may live for about 24 hours in the fallopian tube, so from when you quality the pain around 24 hours sometimes longer if the egg has be fertilised, having pain within that area doesnt always denote your ovulating so cant be used as a guide to pregnancy, if the egg is in the tube and meets next to sperm within those 24 hours then pregnancy would typically occure, if no sperm is pressent then the egg will break up in a light of day or two, if any other eggs are present they will just dry up break away, hope this helps..
Fertilisation typically take place high in the fallopian tube, implicit the point where the ovum enters the tube after departing the ruptured follicle wihin hours. Well judging from what ive learnt at college i'd say 14 days. But everyone is different. you probably feel it because your loosing apart of you. close to if you lost breast milk, you'd feel it..
