Birth Control?

I have two questions, first: On my birth control pill box instructions it say to take a pill each year at ABOUT the same time. I was wondering, does this mingy that I should set an alarm to make sure I take it the exact minute everyday (which is what I've be doing) or can I take it within a couple of hours difference if I agree on to sleep in on Saturday?

Secondly: My doctor told me that if I miss a pill to consider myself unprotected for that month. However, after I left I realize that in biology class we learned that a ovum (or egg) can with the sole purpose survive a few days inside the fallopian tubes and uterus and then it get engaged into the body (or dies). If I missed a pill then wouldn't I only be unprotected for the subsequent couple of days (if an egg was produced in the 24 hr extent that I didn't take the pill)instead of the whole month?

you're right in the order of missing one pill, you are not unprotected for the entire month, the drug inserts actually say that missing one pill does not lower protection--even that light of day. i wouldn't recommend testing that though. . .wearing condoms or abstaining for a few days should be more than fine.

"about matching time" means that you should take it in about an hour. if you ussually take it at 7:30 contained by the morning, do not take it before 6:30 or after 8:30. if you want to sleep contained by on the weekends, just get up, pocket it, and try to go back to sleep. going fund to sleep may be difficult at first, but your body should get used to the pattern and falling final asleep should get easier.

He told you to consider yourself unprotected b/c its better to be safe than sorry. the instructions tell you to filch it as soon as you remember, but if you skip the pill entirely, it'd be better to just use a condom.
You dont have to lift it at the exact minute. You'll be fine if you wanna sleep in.

1. You should take it as close to like time as possible. I've set my alarm to go off, and when it does, I whip it.

2. If you miss a pill it will affect the 99% effectiveness of the pill. Just remember pills are only 99% effectual when taken correctly.
