Had a d&c Jan 31, took a hpt today, it be positive?? is that from the miscarriage, or a unknown pregnancy?
Answers: I've read that the pregnancy hormones can remain within your body for up to two months.
That said, if you haven't gotten a period since the D&C, you have a feeling like you're pregnant, and you didn't use condoms some of the time, you to be sure could be pregnant.
You should have a blood exam done at the doctor. Even if you're not pregnant there will probably be some amount of pregnancy hormones remaining surrounded by your body, but your doctor should be able to put in the picture if it's a new pregnancy or not.
If you're not pregnant, nick it easy on your body and loaf those two periods approaching the doctor said. Use condoms all the time. You want your body to be in position for the next babe-in-arms, not stressed from fluctuating hormone levels.
my friend a short time ago went through indistinguishable thing, her d&c be over a month ago now and her hcg even was at 20 ultimate week, and the only pretext she knows to be exact because she was taken into hosp to remove an ovarian cyst and they took blood from her and done a hcg preg assessment on her. i think the level drop very slowly, but the probability of you being preg are slim inflict you used condoms but nothing is 100% impressive. good luck.x probably after any one as your hormones are still fluctuating. Give yourself a couple more weeks then try again. Good luck
Your body may still hold some levels of HcG within it, which could show up on an early HPT. The intention your dr told you to wait 2 period is for your uterus to heal itself from the D&C. I have a miscarriage about 8 years ago and completed up getting pregnant 6 weeks later, so it IS possible, but seem like it is still too soon...not positive though. Also, your cycle might be thrown bad due to the D&C as well. I am sorry for your loss and want you the best in the adjectives. Good luck and take assistance! Most women can expect their levels to return to a non-pregnant collection about 4 - 6 weeks after a pregnancy loss have occurred. This can differentiate by how the loss occur (spontaneous miscarriage, D & C procedure, abortion, natural delivery) and how dignified the levels be at the time of the loss. Health care providers usually will verbs to test hCG level after a pregnancy loss to ensure they return back to <5.0
