What is a daylight after pill?

i know that it's to prevent pregnancy, but how does it work? what does it do? does it start your period? only just need info on it and how much it might cost and where on earth i can get it...

Answers:    Basically the morning after pill is a larger dose of the regular pill. The effects are equal as the regular pill. It prevents you from ovulating. If you have already ovulated, later the pill will trick your body into thinking that you are already pregnant and will stop any new fertilized eggs from man implanted in the uterus.
Cost will depend on where on earth you live and if your healthcare covers it or not. Here in Canada, I believe they will bestow for free in the emergency department.
the morning after pill simply prevents an egg attaching itself to your womb lineing. it usually costs around 25 quid but you can get it free from your doctors or if your beneath 21 Planned parenthood have it...take it in like 72 hours after unprotected sex & it keep you from getting pregnant usually.
It causes massive hormone change that will abort any beginnings of a child, whether implanted or not. A day after pill is vitally a double dose of a birth control pill. The massive dose stops the possibility of becoming pregnant.
Unlike one of the answers, it does not abort any child. It has no effect on the fetus if you are already pregnant. It simply prevents you from becoming pregnant by not allowing sperm to surround the egg. It is about 85% impressive if taken within 72 hours. You can rob it up to 120 hours after unprotected sex, but the effectiveness is much lower than 85% at that time. You can buy it over-the-counter within some states, including Oregon, by simply requesting it at the pharmacy. Plannedparenthood can also give you it, and a doctor can prescribe it. It is usually almost 40 dollars, but this also may be dependent on where you live. It does not lead to your period, but your length is likely to be altered some. For some women, their period come early, but for me it cause my period to come a week behind time, and the following month my cycle was 32 days fairly than the regular 28. Hope this helps.
