Do OB/GYN's do routine physicals at the appointment too?
My previous obgyn that I went to since I be 16 or so was ALSO a own flesh and blood physician... so when I'd go for my twelve-monthly pap, she'd also do the routine physical - listen to my heart lungs, etc.
I never really liked the practice, so I made an appointment at strictly an obgyn practice. Will they do the routine stuff too, or do I enjoy to find another doctor for that?
Thanks :)
Answers: While I do focus on OB/GYN issues, I do a few simple general checks... heart, lungs, checking your neck/thyroid, etc.
Also, we other ask about broad health issues, concerns or question. If something brought up needs a bit more investigation, I'll sure check that as well.
Part of this stems from my overall desire during pregnancy to serve or monitor adjectives aspects of a patient's health. I other tell my OB patients that they can undeniably schedule and come by near other issues... I'm going to want to know what meds are being prescribed and such anyway.

nope they are strictly going to budge down there... No, they don't. You'll have need of another doctor.
It depends, they might give you somewhat of a nonspecific physical but I would definitely not rely on them for your twelve-monthly physical. Although they are doctors and may be able to stop many things, they are focused on OB/GYN issues and will not be as thorough within checking other body systems. They may not give you a physical at adjectives. Some of them do. You have to speak to the doctor that will be examining you to see if they agree to do it or not. I basically went right after Christmas and get my yearly pap and a physical. I didn't regard they would do it but I said something about need it for school and my doc told me they do routine physicals adjectives the time. I'm sure they won't do it unless you ask them about it.
