I am 45 and have be diagnosed with an ovarian cyst. I am planned for surgery to have it removed. However, my sex drive have really shot up and sex is all I have a sneaking suspicion that about. Is this common? And will this desire for sex still be there after removal of ovaries (hysterectomy)? I have a feeling like this could lately be my hormones going bonkers. Please help. Any planning welcome

Answers:    It is completely conventional to have your hormones on overload sometimes. Even after a hysterectomy, populace still experience sexual desire, just as men who hold vasectomies still have an overwhelming desire to own sex. Sexual desire is not only something like the area around the uterus etc, as it is the brain that produces the hormones that are driving you crazy contained by the first place, and you brain isn't what's going to be removed! Don't worry, you should still hold a sex drive in some form, but please speak to your doctor if you're worried give or take a few it, because there are hormone pills you can pinch if, for some reason, you experience a loss within sex drive after your hysterectomy.
