Can or does prolonged breakthrough bleeding on the pill cause anemia? I own had bleeding for over a month very soon and my doctor says I should lurk it out another week and if not gone by later that he will switch me to a different brand of the pill.

I was only just wondering if you constantly have breakthrough bleeding and for so long whether it can organize to anemia?

Answers:    Yes, it can. It happened to both my sister and me. My sister be so bad she needed a transfusion at one point.

Switching the pill help me for awhile but eventually i had an endometrial ablation that did comfort me somewhat though I still get my time and I still take the pill to regulate it. But at lowest my periods are short, restrained and regular now.
