depends on what they are testing for...ask your doctor. i've be on thyroid medicine for nearly 8 years or so. i have never be told a specific time frame to wait between taking the pill and blood test. i see and endocrinologist every 2 to 3 months sometimes blood is drawn in the morning and sometimes surrounded by the afternoon. i would just give the name to make sure they aren't going to run other test (especially cholesterol) because you may need to hasty before mitt.
NO!! Never test thyroid surrounded by the afternoon ever. TSH is highest while we sleep, so you want to testing first thing surrounded by the morning when its near its elevated point. By 2PM, its at it lowest point. Failure to test contained by the morning, could cause your doctor to lower your dosage of medication base on the afternoon reading when its low.
Also, testing should be done first, later the medication should be taken. I take Armour thyroid and below is a contact where it states this directly from the company that make it. It states "If you are on a thyroid supplement medication and need to pilfer a blood test, on the sunshine of your blood test, you should keep on to take your medication until after your blood have been drawn to avoid any interview interference. Once the blood has be drawn, you may take that day’s dose and return to your regular dosing programme."
