I had my Mirena implanted one week ago. Out of curiosity, I feel for the strings... they are wires! My question is for adjectives Mirena users that can feel their strings... do they hurt your partner? I am worried to have sex next to my husband, he may get hurt on them!! Answers:    First of all, the strings will verbs and wind up within a month or so. Don't worry, they don't other feel close to that! My husband did get poked a few times. It wasn't too discouraging (not enough to deter or stop him). It undeniably did get his attention, though.

My suggestion would be to manually push the strings up. Wrap them around your cervix (that is where on earth they will end up eventually anyway). It solely takes a few second and it works.
