My doctor advise my thyroid is enlarged?

and I need an ultra nouns. Can it be cancer? Or just a thyroid problem?

Answers:    If the clinical exam found that your thyroid is enlarged next the blood test must be perform to check for TSH, T3 and T4 hormonal level as in good health as for thyroid antibodies (to rule out or confirm the autoimmune condition, hypo or hyperthyroidism). Ultrasound scan is usually done to check for small impalpable nodules in the thyroid. If the thyroid swelling is uniform lacking bumps (you can do thyroid neck check for that) the probability are you do not have nodules significant satisfactory to worry in the region of. I do not have info around your age but small benign (non cancerous) nodules are not uncommon surrounded by people over 30 y.o.
Back within 2005,the right side of my thyroid was enlarged and the first point they did was an ultrasound.Long story short,I done up having to hold that side removed. There is a chance that any phenomenal growth can be cancerous, but the thyroid commonly get what are call 'nodules' on them, that are completely harmless.I have to have mine removed to find out because of the type of nodule it was(follicular adenoma)with that class, they can't tell whether it is malignant or not purely from a biopsy, they have to examine it below a microscope.Don't worry too much over it(although that's easier said than done).Like I said they are particularly common and most other not a cause for alarm.Good luck and God bless!
