I went to the doctor for my every twelve months exam this past Thursday and I enjoy been cramping ever since. I own never cramped like this after a pap smear. Its almost approaching period cramps but seeing as I dont return with my periods because of PCOS, i know its not that. She also said that I am not pregnant :( so I know its not that. Has anyone else ever have this before?

Answers:    If the doctor is not soft with the instrument used and have exerted unnecessary pressure, severe pain can follow. Also if she take too long a time and there is a strong cold draft (from air-con) in that may be possibilities of cramp too. If you are too tense and your muscles are tight and tensed, the pap smear can be difficult for the doctor to perform smoothly.

and god did those cramps hurt! i didnt ring up my dr or anything i just took some advil..
