Can you have PCOS without all the "typical" symptoms?

I've have a intensely irregular menstrual cycle after have gone bad the pill 14 months ago. I can go anywhere from 20 to 65 days between period. I've have several ultrasounds done, and although some showed enlarged ovaries, the doctor disregarded them claiming their size resulted from the timing of my cycle. I have another ultrasound done promptly after my finishing interval, and the technician said it showed a "pearl necklace" - the follicles feint up side by side along the outside of the ovaries. She said this be usually an indication of PCOS. However, I googled the syndrome and except the irregular and missed period, I don't enjoy any other symptoms. Could it still be PCOS? (I'm going to see my gynecologist subsequent week next to the ultrasound results to see what he think.)
