Is it possible for your eyes to get smaller or larger permanently?

is it true that if you are to hand sighted or far sighted or wear goggles, you're eyes grow smaller or regulation within some track? that's what my parents told me and i want to know if it's true. is it possible to acquire them smaller or larger within a "natural" sort of passageway? and is near any passageway to engineer eyesight better or clearer?
