Birth Control Pill - Yasmine - will it eventually help acne?

My daughter have be on 3 different pills for her PCOS. The mood swings be devastating and none of the pills help her acne that much. Now they are trying her on Yasmine, which so far have leveled out her moods, but her acne seem to be worse. I've hear that next to Yasmine, the first month might inflict break outs, but later after a month or two, it clears up acne really resourcefully. Has anyone have this come to pass? Any suggestions? It's a constant raid beside her facade and I'm afraid she will finish up near scar.

Anyone taking Loestrin 24?

Acne is one of the more adjectives symptoms of PCOS, unfortunatly. Many doctors prescribe birth control pills (BCP) to treat PCOS. However, this is really silly. Unfortunatly, several doctors are not really aware of the proper treatment for PCOS, so they only mitt out BCP similar to they're candy. If she is properly treating her PCOS, her acne should bring somewhat better. Also, I would use topical creams and cleansers. I've hear great things going on for ProActive (that's the one that Jessica Simpson endorses).

BCP bring to the fore the risks of blood clots and a few other impossible things. These thing (including the clots) are also more adjectives among women near PCOS. It doesn't engender sense to elevate the risks of these things near relations who already at better risk. Also, the BCP tend to concealing outfit the symptoms of PCOS while not really doing anything to assist it. There have also be research that shows that after going rotten BCP that the PCOS is much worse. I importantly suggest treating her PCOS through the proper treatments. Here's a moment or two simple PCOS info for you and some links. If you really research BCP and PCOS, you'll find TONS of reliable sources that voice to stay away from them.

I recommend seeing a reproductive endocrinologist. They are unanimously more up to date in the order of PCOS and the correct treatment. Unfortunately, heaps doctors are not aware of the proper treatment.

The underlying make happen of PCOS is insulin resistance (IR). The best treatment for PCOS is going on an insulin sensitizing drug such as metformin (1500-2550mg per day) combined next to a low carb diet and exercise. There are a few major things to know:

1. Many women "pass" the try-out for IR, but still respond positively from the metformin. No one know exactlly why..my thought is that the experiment is not a sure fire track of detecting the IR.

2. You must be on a dignified ample dose of metformin. I've hear women complain that their bodies dont start working even though they've be on metformin for awhile. Some doctors are sceptical to up the dose bygone 1500mg...but for some of us it take more. I don't respond until my dose is around 2000mg a daytime.

3. It can lug a few months on the correct dose, since your body is regulated.

4. It is major to treat your PCOS even if you are not trying to return with pregnant. There are greater risks for lots things (high blood pressure, blood clots, diabetes, and masses other things) when you hold PCOS, but if it is treated properly, afterwards those risks are lowered.

When the PCOS is treated properly, adjectives of your symptoms may not disappear, but they should restore some. It will also be greatly easier to lose mass (and keep hold of it off). Our bodies work against us when we try to lose substance on our own, making it nearly impossible to lose freight.

There are TONS of books roughly PCOS and dieting. There are two that I recommend. Here's the links at amazon for those:

What do i do? shots!! =0 pleeeeez minister to?

i dont' devise that it's 100% guaranteed that BC pills will minister to wit acne. i've be on yaz (i meditate it's a oscillation of yasmine) for in the region of 8 months very soon. i haven't have a make over beside acne tho. mine be never really doomed to failure, but it still hasn't gotten better. adjectives the pill have help me next to is regulating my extent and making my length shorter. i still hold cramps resembling i did formerly, i gain for a while counterweight (about 5-10 lbs.), and i step rear legs and forth between mortal hungry 24/7 or not wanting to drink for 24 hours. for the pcos i would maintain her on some genus of birth control or womanly hormone, but for the acne i would recommend proactive or laser surgery. my brother have really impossible acne and he have laser surgery for it and it help tremendously. i don't know how expensive it is, and it take 2-4 weeks to treat completly afterwards, but the results be amazing. ya he get the occasional zit in a minute and next, but nil resembling he used to enjoy.
