Ultrasound for ultrasound shows a cyst on my right ovary with irregular borders?
I be wondering what it mechanism when the report say Irregular borders next to low-level echo. The cyst measures 2.6x1.8 cm.

It may powerfully be an endometrioma, AKA a "chocolate" cyst or hemorrhagic cyst. U/S findings for endometriomas consistently present near low-level echo. Also, the outer walls of endometriomas are initially tinny, but over time become fibrotic, thicken and shell-like, prime to irregular bordering. It is significant that your doctor review adjectives your symptoms (i.e. do you own Endometriosis, a history of other, functional ovarian cysts, undiagnosed pelvic affliction, etc. etc.) along near the findings to determine the subsequent step and possible treatment. If it does prove to be an endometrioma, the gold ingots standard for treatment is surgical, although at hand are other medical suppressives that can be tried if you are against laparoscopy or other pelvic surgery. First of adjectives, dont be afraid to ask your Dr.I really dont want to panic you, but I know when they look at tumors, cysts and moles, they are more concerned beside ones that own irregular borders becasue they own more of a arbitrary of man cancerous. Most credible, they will do a biopsy of the cyst and if prerequisite be capable of remove the cyst and they can pick up your ovary.
