IBS and colonoscopy?

is a colonoscpy a common track to help diagnose IBS? I might enjoy IBS and will be seeing a GI specialist next week. I'm not thrilled over the concept of a colonoscopy mainly because I don't do economically with conscious sedation sedative. a friend told me they will probably want to do it.

Because IBS is inflammation of the bowels, cause a backlog so to speak, a colonoscopy becomes more of an eliminatory tool to rule out the possibility of a more sinister underlying problem. Many doctors are glowing to say that bloatedness and gut-ache is down to IBS, but more and more specialists are ensure that there is zilch else wrong first.

IBS is treatable with bran and probiotics, along with a running down in some foods which aggravate the system.

Why don't i own my Period yet?

I hold IBS, diagnosed based on symptoms. Before you agree to a colonoscopy, why don't you try diet change and OTC products? In fact, that's probably what your doc is gonna recommend.
