Dear all, I have a ask about the Paps. Yesterday I have one done and it was painless and it adjectives went fine. However today when I go to the bathroom in the morning I notice a bit of bleeding on my panty liner as well as on the toilet tabloid. Is it normal to bleed a bit after the examination is done? Thanks!

This is completely average. Bleeding is extremely common after Pap smears, due to the tiny brush scrape the delicate bin liner of the cervix. This type of bleeding does not result in any damage and will stop on its own. However, if the bleeding is directly related to the Pap smear, the expected bleeding should be table lamp, mostly experienced as spotting, and should quickly resolve. If it does not, it requires further evaluation.
