My period is due on Thursday and I could do short it... If I start taking the pill today will that stop it happening and snag it 4 weeks? Senisble answers ony please.

If you are talking roughly speaking starting the pill from scratch tonight it will probably fall short, you are too late for the hormones to bear control. If however you are already on the pill, if you run 2 packs together minus a break that will work. It must only be done outstandingly occasionally however.

I'm not sure this would work for you. The way most birth control pills work is they prevent you from ovulating and after on the last week of the pills (the placebo pills, usually a different color) your hold your period and shed the uterine inside layer. If you are to start your period surrounded by 4 days, you have most promising already ovulated and your body will shed the uterine lining and possibly the egg on diary. If you did start the pill it might delay the extent but I don't know since your body is already preparing for menstruation if you can throw a moneky wrench and just stop it. It could mess your cycle up.

Yes the pill usually stops the extent after approx 3 days in system, lug them for 3 weeks then u will come on the 4th week, capably in my experience it does. But please don't hold on to doing it, it will upset the system.
