Menstrual problem..?

I am asking on behalf of a worried friend. She had to enjoy a surgical termination 5months ago after medical termination did not work. Periods prior to this were regular. She is 27yrs frail and was thoroughly ill during pregnancy and have to have abortion due to strength reasons. Since Feb 10th she have not stopped bleeding and is getting worried. Doctors cant do an internal exam due to heavy menstruation. She have been tried on miscellaneous meds to control the bleed but they dont have much impact. Doctor have recommended a scan but still waiting for this. She is worried as has be bleeding for so long without any break. Can anyone support what may be wrong, she is also worried about fertility immediately. She also has lasting abdominal bloating too. Please only serious answers

I would doubt that her hormone level are normal. Has she have a saliva test done as blood exam do NOT show active hormone level.

Any of these talks explain why for live hormone levels a blood assessment is worthless. Blood tests find hormones, but they are the ones on their track out of the body having done their work. They are not the live hormones.

I would rely on a saliva test to confirm the requirement for progesterone or any other hormones.

Hi, i don't enjoy an answer but i am sure the doctors are doing what they can for her. I don't blame her for being worried, maybe she needs to contact the doctors and explain her concerns and ask for a consultation, to put her mind at rest at smallest.

I think she should ask to see a consultant swiftly and pay if important as I feel she is anyone hung on a string. if we wait it may stir away syndrome, like awaiting for a bus that never comes.
