Is it ok to stop taking birth control pills mid-pack?

i've been taking tricyclen 28 for around three years now and i'd approaching to take a break for a couple of months to see if my mood improve (plus i get migraines and shouldn't be taking them anyway.) i'm (barely) into the second week of my current pack of tricyclen 28 and i can't linger to stop. is it a bad model if i do? should i just tough it out and hold the rest of the pack?

i know i should be talking to a doctor around this but i'm in between doctors at present (which is really annoying.)

While its ADVISABLE to finish off the pack (since you've be using them for years anyway, what's a couple of weeks at this point!?), there won't be anything bleak that happens, except that you might hold 2 periods surrounded by one month (one in a few days and later one when you might normally procure one).

The problem with the type you're using is that it have a different type of chemical every week which can cause more severe "withdrawal" symptoms, this is why it would be best to merely finish out the pack.

There is no destructive effects to your body if you stop now, but most probable you will get your interval soon after. Also, once you stop, start using other methods of preventing pregnancy if you are sexually active and don't want a babe now.
