Antibiotics and birthcontrol?

i know that taking antibiotics makes your birthcontrol smaller amount effective, but i be wondering if anyone knew exactly how much it effects it? is it almost not effective or does it engineer it basically non-exsistant? i bring UTIs a lot and own to take antibiotics for them everytime.
i'm on the ortho-evra patch and i other use a condom, but should i be worried if the condom were to break or something?

It depends on which antibiotic you are using. Some antibiotics greatly alter the liver metabolism and would interfere next to birth control. Other antibiotics really have no effect on birth control because they are not metabolized by the liver. You should ask the pharmacist roughly the particular antibiotic you are taking and whether or not it would interfere. It is not "adjectives antibiotics" but rather solitary "certain antibiotics"

Ortho evra is not the best thing from what I enjoy heard. If you own condoms that break, maybe it's time for some bigger ones.
One course to avoid the UTIs is the AZO pills from the drug store. They have cranberry pills that you can pocket on a daily idea, and it also has other herb to prevent them. They are great.
P.S. Pee after sex! wash out adjectives that bacteria.

that's how my wife get pregnant with our first child. she be taking both antibiotics and birth control and no one told us that the antibiotics make birth control ineffective!

Obviously this should be a question for your pharmacist. Anytime you "know" that you are smaller number protected, you should take increased measures. If you are concerned almost the stability of the condom then maybe you should use a back up method as resourcefully (i.e sponge, spermicide, etc). Again, I would suggest talking beside your doctor and/or pharmacist before making any decision.
