Has anyone have a laparoscopy for endometriosis?

I am going to have a laparoscopy on july 6th for my endo and I am really strung-up. Anybody have any proposal or have any tips for past and after surgery? I here there can be reasonably a bit of pain while recovering, what can i do to aid ease the stomach-ache or make retrieval go by faster? Also, I know that even if the doctor go in & removes as much endo as possible it can still grow hindmost and the pain will come put a bet on. What are some other things I could do to help combat endometriosis? Thanks Alot.

i had a laparoscopy for exploratory reason. the doctor told me i would be up and about the subsequent day. WRONG. i experienced a equal amount of discomfort for days (but please know that it is truly not as bad as you're thinking. it's such a routine procedure in this day and age - you'll probably do much better than i did 18 years ago!) just be prepared to lug it easy and distribute yourself enough time to restore your health. i would think that if they are trying to remove some of the endometriosis, you'll entail more time. i do / did have endo and be on birth control pills for years because of it. i have be off the pill for several years immediately and have not have too many problems, although from time to time my period will be a bit more "crampy." pregnancy usually clears up endo. a hysterectomy will get rid of it, too. unsurprisingly, these are not practical option for many women. depends on your age and what you want. How can i attain my boobs to grow bigger without surgery or pills?

I have one and it wasn't bad at adjectives. Something to remember is to lie down as much as possible after the surgery. They pump your tummy full of gas to expand it and if you sit up the gas rises and make your shoulders ache discouraging. If you lay down then you don't own that problem and you body absorbs the gas within a day or two. Honestly, it be a piece of cake for me. I had hear others say it be bad but it wasn't for me. It help my endometrosis a LOT too. It was years until that time I started having trouble again and even consequently it wasn't as bad as up to that time. I wound up with polyps within my uterus and had an endometrial ablation but that have nothing to do beside the first problem. Good luck to you!

I know & get the impression r anxiety, I've had 4-5 laparoscopies. What they are going in for is to remove the "fibroids, cysts, tumours, same" doesn`t matter what u all beckon em there & Lab-Test for beneighn tumors, & their other beneighn. They'll put u to sleep u don't feel anything, be paid a small incision under r belly button where on earth the scope go & up r vagina I'm trying to recall and will lazer zap adjectives the fibroids, saving some 4 carrying out tests. You'll then progress into recovery and perceive drowzy u must pee before they
consent to you go & solely attended with someone beside a car. As for agony, they will give u meds, except ASK before Dr. leaves! The

I had one done within 2005, and it was nought in my belief. I woke up and felt sick to my stomach, tried to throw up, but it feel like i have done 500 crunches or something...that's all i remember until I go home. My stomach was sore for a week or so, but I still couldn't move up heavy things a couple weeks after that. The solely part that bothered be the excess air...to be honest the shoulder strain is pretty severe, but only concluding for alittle bit. I personaly would do it again in a heart beat (and probably will). Good luck next to everything, and just remember you're not alone...

The pain from the surgery didn't later long - it was the spasm from the CO2 that was the worst - gas bubbles get stuck in my shoulder blades and HURT. They provide you meds for it because they can't completely get the gas out, but that be what took the longest to fix for me.
Ask your doc about Meclomen. It's an NSAID similar to Aleve and Advil but it does something extra - it reduces your flow TREMENDOUSLY. Less flow scheme less distress when it comes to endo.
Also, ask your doctor about CUTTING out the endo versus burning it out. Studies hold shown that's the only effectual way to get hold of rid of it so it won't come back.
My laparoscopy is programmed for 2 weeks from now & I'm going to harp on Lupron, which scares me partially to death - I don't know that I've get an alternative though...
