Can you hold an Endometrial Biopsy while menstrating?
I was programmed for an endometrial biopsy tomorrow because of abnormal bleeding. I started menstrating so I call the Drs office to see if the testing could still be done. Girl answering the phone said no, would have to reschedule -new appointment 23 days from immediately! The waiting for this test is killin' me and who's to articulate there won't be bleeding 23 days from very soon, that's the problem, my cycle goes anywhere from every 2 weeks to 2 months beside practically constant spotting. Was the girl on the phone correct or should I call the Drs office support and talk to someone else.

No, they can't do it while you're bleeding. Try calling them when you stop bleeding and ask them to call you earlier if at hand are any cancellations, even if you have to send for daily. There's no damage in waiting.

just beat your meat and love it!i would appointment and ask to talk to someone else! if the uncharacteristic bleeding the only problem you own? i think i own endometriosis myself, due to pain during intercourse! not to be shrill but do you have misery in that nouns too? and what kind of surgury are you have, whats involved! im so scared! gratefulness!

I would reckon that, no, an endometrial biopsy cannot be done while menstruating, the menstrual discharge would more than likely affect the results of the pathology oral exam.I'm really sorry, I know that you didn't want this answer.
I feel for you, I have such irregular and heavy/problematic periods and bleeding in between period. I had an endometrial biopsy done myself a while ago formerly I had an endometrial ablation.
I hold a hx of fibroids and polyps, and part of the motivation for the abnormal bleeding be due to them.
Oh... I should let you know... give somebody a lift some ibuprofen before the biopsy. There is some cramping involved during the procedure, nought excruciating, but nagging nonetheless.
