HELP! My breast really hurt.?

I had my time of year one week ago, but before my spell my husband and I did not protect ourselves. Now i'm on birth control.
If you look down on your breast, my hurt on hte left side of respectively.
Can this be a side effect from pills or i got pregnant beforehand my period. I other have breast strain when i'm on my period but never never after them.
