Okay. This is really embarrassing, but I couldn't find anything online...
Well, tonight my boyfriend fixed that he wanted to suck my nipples, and I thought sure why not... But I mull over that he sucked too hard, cuz the skin broke (tiny bit of bleeding), and presently they're purplish in color.
I'm merely wondering if this is normal-ish, whether he did suck to hard, or what... Also, any philosophy to make the discomfort and discoloration go away at a rate of knots? Ice?

YES, HE PROBABLY WAS A LITTLE TOO HARSH AT SUCKING, WHICH IS HARD TO STOP WHEN YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT MOOD. I TOTALLY UNDERSAND. THE PURPLISH DISCOLORATION IS PROBABLY JUST BRUISING OR BLOOD UNDERNEATH THE SKIN. I WOULD WATCH IT CLOSELY AND SUPPORT IT, LIKE SLEEPING IN YOUR BRA FOR A DAY OR SO. IF IT DIDN'T SOON GET BETTER, YOU MAY WANT TO LET A DR TAKE A LOOK AT IT. BUT REMEMBER THE BREAST ARE VERY TENDER AND BRUISING TO THE BREAST TISSUE USUALLY DOESN'T GO AWAY QUICKLY. I think you get a nipple hickie! Ice will help and a antibacterial creme will hold on to the skin from cracking more. Next time--a little gentler!It is just similar to if you get a hickey on your nouns. A bruise if you will. It should go away surrounded by a few days.

Actually, I had this problem when I breast-fed by first tot. He probably sucked too hard and your nipples are untouched. My OB/GYN told me before I have my first baby to try to toughen up my nipples a few weeks earlier I delivered by rubbing them near a washcloth in the shower so it wouldn't hurt so fruitless when the baby come. The first three days of breastfeeding my nipples were purple, cracked and bleeding and consequently they scabbed over. I couldn't handle the headache of it because my baby wasn't latching on correctly so I stopped and my nipples cleared up. I would put some Vaseline or neosporin on your nipples until they scab over.
