This is a commen problem next to girls and their mothers. Your mother feels uncomfertable around the subject or worries that you do. She thinks that by not recitation you she is saving an uncomfertable and unwanted conversation.
So I would report her that she needs to explain to you these things so you can be ready and kind the right desicion. Tell her that if she won't give you the needed infromation to maintain you happy and on form then you'll hold to find a friend or school worker to do so
