Help?!?! I need to budge to the doctor and I don't want my parents to find out...(and I'm on their insurance)

I am 23 and just have an abnormal Pap smear...and tested positive for HPV and the doctor sent me a memorandum recommending a colposcopy. The problem is that I am a student and still underneath my parents insurance, although I support myself. My mom already thinks I am a whore (only 2 partners) and so I can't put this on her insurance but I can't pay no attention to it either. I'm so panicky she'll find out. I want to take thoroughness of this. I called the Health Department and they right to be heard the price is based on sliding level and proof of income. Will they ask about insurance or can I merely pay brass? What is the best way to switch this? I don't want to ruin my currently fragile relationship with my mom who hate my boyfriend already and this would just lift her over the edge. Any suggestions?PLEASE!

Ok i'm really young merely 15 but heres what i think you should do. I conjecture you should just use the insurence and forget what your mom say. so what if she thinks your a whore. who care. It isnt like you come home with hiv and a infant or something. It isnt her life its yours and you should aid about that more. It isnt her boyfreind its yours so who care what she thinks as long as he spawn you happy after thats all that matter. And for the insurence part use it up until you cant use it no more. Your with the sole purpose on there for a predetermined time so work with what you get while you got it becasue pretty soon youll hold to pay for your own insurence. Your mom'll capture over it. and if she doesnt oh well.

Depending on the severity of your results, some doctors will just agree to you continue going for exams to preserve an eye on things, to make sure they don't grasp worse. I had a low position positive test for years that they a short time ago watched, after it resolved itself. So... perhaps you can ring up your doctor to see if this is an option.

If it's not, and you involve the colposcopy I would go ahead and do it and own it reported. Perhaps you can call the insurance company to see if near's a way your parents weren't notify (maybe state something about confidentiality). If that's impractical, just describe your mom you had a positive pap, and walk off it at that. HPV is not the only intention for positive pap smears and she doesn't need to know you tested positive for the virus.

your local health department and planned maternity will do checkups for you on a sliding fee clamber. you can tell them you dont want to use your insurance and they wont. also at planned motherliness you have the opportunity of requesting plain envelopes or descreet phone calls if you still live at home. its kinda resembling their policy to help within these situations. good luck.

you could always falsehood and say that you enjoy no insurance. it's not the best but if you are dead set against relating your parents then it is what you'll hold to do. just remember that secret have a course of coming out eventually so no matter what you prefer you will have to explain to your parents eventually.

I would a short time ago tell her, solely if she asks, that you had a pap smear come wager on abnormal...most women at some point bring back one so its not a big deal.

You do not entail to go to the vigour dept. Having an abnormal pap smear really have nothing to do next to you being a whore or not! It shows an irregular growth of cells resembling cancer.

ok in good health... hpv can come from other things than just sex so i wouldnt be tooo worried more or less that.. do research on it and if your mom has problems, in recent times explain it to her. i dont think you HAVE to relate her.. but you need to do what you suppose is right.. your health is more essential that what she may think of you.
