Swollen stomach after c-section?

I just have a c-section and I've noticed that my stomach is massively swollen. Not the area of the incision but to the sides and above it. That's the element that hurts. It's swollen from the front all the channel to my sides. Is this normal and when will it jump down?

You only had key abdominal surgery, so there is going to be swelling and bruising (on the inside, and possibly outside) I've had 2 c-sections and have different symptoms either time. Make sure your resting and not overdoing things. You don't want to upset something. They have to sew your uterus don't forget also, so that's really tender also. Good luck...hope baby is doing in good health...
