Ovarian Cyst?

What is the normal size of an ovarian cyst? And how immense does it have to be since it is considered abnormal? Also what does it expect if fluid is seen when you hold an ultrasound done ?

Small cysts (smaller than one-half inch) may be present in a normal ovary while follicles are self formed. Ovarian cysts have zilch to do with disease. Most ovarian cysts are benign, target they are not cancerous, and many disappear on their own within a matter of weeks minus treatment.
A woman may develop 1 or more of them.


In an ultrasound image, ovarian cysts resemble bubbles. The cyst contains solely fluid and is surrounded by a very spare wall. This kind of cyst is also call a functional cyst, or simple cyst.

Are womman supossed to?

Surgical removal may be recommended for ovarian cysts over 5-6 cm.
