I have a choice between Mirena and the Novasure procedure. I'm tendency toward the Novasure, but I'd like more info on Mirena since making my final decision. Thanks.

I own the Mirena and it works awesome... Its a simple procedure.. they insert it.. U get a check up to breed sure everything is goin good and ur set for 3-5 years
I enjoy heard general public complain about the string poking them(which can be trimed by the doc).. and a few right to be heard that they dont get a term anymore... but other than that..I reckon its good to budge! Hope that helped... : )

Mirena is an IUD next to hormones. You have some of the drawbacks of the pill (artificial hormones etc) and some of the drawbacks of an IUD (uncomfortable insertion, exceedingly rare perforation, etc).

I hold the copper IUD, no hormones, works for 10 years (Mirena is only 3-5). Figured I'd cause my troubles worth the effort. Double the protection for a few smaller number side effects.
