Depression After Hysterectomy?

My mom just have a hysterectomy, she is 60. She was doing powerfully, the only problem be her leg, they think they oulled a muscle during her surgery, but she be doing better. Then, all of a sudden she started human being depressed, and crying for no reason. She is so crestfallen, and I am 14 and hate to see her lke that. I want to know if this is average, and what I can do to help?

It is normal for her to hold some mood changes. The hysterectomy is cause her to have hormonal change, which regulate the mood. Time should help to adjust the body and mind to the translation. Until then, in attendance's not too much you can do, except be there for her, spend some time next to her and help her around the house and such. You nouns like a great kid and she is lucky to enjoy you care. Let her know that you do. If she isn't foreboding better in a week, bring up to date her how worried you are and suggest that she call her doctor and discuss her atmosphere with him/her.

I would envision I would feel highly depressed after a hysterectomy. Try to cheer her up and if that doesn't work, tell her to reach a deal to her Doctor.

It's adjectives about hormones. The feminine organs (ovaries etc) produce estrogen which helps regulate hormones. When you no longer enjoy them your hormones are all out of wack. She necessitate to see her doctor for hormone management.
